Requirements for safe use
– You have read chapter „Safety“ on page
GB-5 and understand all the safety notices.
– The appliance is installed and connected
as described in chapter „Start-up“ on page
GB-19.
Commissioning the appliance

Risk of damage to property!
If the appliance has been transported
horizontally, lubricant from the
compressor may make its way into the
cooling circuit.
■
If possible, do not tilt the cooling
appliance horizontally.
■
Allow the cooling unit to stand
upright for two hours before starting
up the appliance. This gives the
lubricant time to flow back into the
compressor.
• Switch off the fuse for the mains socket to
which the refrigerator is connected.

The temperature controller (7) can be used to
switch the appliance on and off. The tempera-
ture controller is on the right wall in the fridge
compartment and is infinitely adjustable.
Switching on
1. Set the temperature controller (7) to a set-
ting of between “1” and “7”.
The appliance is then switched on. The
compressor starts to work, the refrigerant
flows through the pipes, and a quiet hum-
ming sound can be heard.
2. If the refrigerator makes disturbing noises
after it is switched on, check that it is in a
stable position and correctly installed.
Switching off
1. Set the temperature controller (7) to “0”.
The compressor is switched off. The ap-
pliance doesn’t refrigerate.
2. Empty the appliance and clean it (see
„Care and maintenance“ on page GB-16).
