Switching the appliance on
and off
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
If the refrigerating appliance has been
transported horizontally, lubricant from
the compressor may get into the cool-
ing circuit.
■
Allow the appliance to stand upright
for approx. 2 hours after transport
and before connecting.
Switching on
• Insert the mains plug into an easily acces-
sible socket (220–240 V~ / 50 Hz).
The appliance is then switched on. The
compressor starts to work, the refrigerant
flows through the pipes and a quiet hum-
ming sound can be heard.
Switching off
1. Disconnect the mains plug from the sock-
et.
The compressor is switched off. The appli-
ance no longer refrigerates.
2. Empty the appliance and clean it (see
“Care and maintenance” on page EN-15).
3. Leave the appliance door (2) slightly open
to prevent mould from forming.
After switching off, wait for approx.
5 minutes before switching the appli-
ance back on. The compressor
requires this amount of time to re-start.
Operation
Setting the temperature

■
Always ensure the prescribed ambi-
ent temperature is maintained (see
“Intended use” on page EN-4).

The temperature controller (9) can be found
at the top of the fridge.
The appliance’s interior temperature can be
adjusted in increments of “0” to “7”.
The lowest temperature can be set by adjust-

• To increase the appliance’s interior tem-
perature, turn the temperature controller
clockwise
towards “7”.
The setting “7” is reached by turning the
dial clockwise as far as it will go.
• To decrease the appliance’s interior tem-
perature, turn the temperature controller
anti-clockwise
towards “1”.
