Improper handling of the appliance may
result in damage.
■
Let the grinder run for up to one minute
without interruption.
■
Make sure that no foreign objects (e.g.
stones) have been mixed in with the cof-
fee beans. Foreign objects can damage
the grinder.
■
Use only espresso coffee beans, without
any caramelised or fl avoured ingredient
additives.
■
Put only 100% ground espresso in the fi l-
ter insert. No beverage powders, foreign
objects or other substances, such as wa-
ter-soluble or freeze-dried instant prod-
ucts, should be put in the fi lter insert.
■
Never pour water into the coffee bean
hopper.
■
Do not expose the appliance to high
temperatures (heating, etc.) or weather
(rain, etc.).
■
Never expose the appliance to temper-
atures below 0° C. Residual water that
may have frozen could damage the ap-
pliance.
■
Use the appliance only if it is standing
on a level, stable and non-sensitive sur-
face.
■
Do not operate the appliance if the wa-
ter tank is empty.
■
Never exceed maximum fi ll levels.
■
Never operate the appliance without the
drip tray and drain grid inserted.
■
Carefully remove, transport and insert
the individual parts of the appliance;
never drop them.
■
Surface coatings on furniture sometimes
contain chemical additives, which can
eat away at the rubber feet of the ap-
pliance. This may cause residue to accu-
mulate on the surface of the furniture.
Place a heat-resistant, waterproof and
non-slip pad underneath the appliance.
■
Do not put the appliance or individual
parts of the appliance in a dishwasher.
■
Do not use a steam cleaner to clean it.
This can cause short-circuiting and could
damage the appliance.
■
Do not use any solvent-based, abrasive
or scouring cleaners (e.g. oven or grill
spray) or cleaning utensils such as scour-
ing pads or similar. These could scratch
the surfaces.
