NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
Improper handling of the appliance
can lead to property damage.
■
Metallic containers for food and bev-
erages are not allowed during micro-
wave cooking. Metal in the cooking
chamber may cause sparks during
operation! This can damage the view-
ing window or the entire appliance!
Do not use metal pots, metal pans
and metal lids or dishware with met-
al parts such as gold edges under any
circumstances.
■
Do not use any containers made of
porcelain, ceramic or plastic and any
protective fi lms that are not resistant
to high heat in grill or combi mode.
■
Do not use baking paper or similar!
■
Containers that become hotter than
the food inside them are not suitable
for microwave cooking. Do not use
such containers.
The appliance offers different types of heat-
ing: Microwave, grill and combi mode. Always
choose the appropriate dishware for the dif-
ferent heating modes. Please also ensure to
observe the manufacturer’s guidelines. Un-
suitable crockery can lead to the appliance
becoming damaged.
For microwave mode
Use only microwave-suitable dishware. This
includes:
– fire-resistant glass, ceramic, porcelain
– fire and frost resistant glass ceramics
– High heat-resistant and microwaveable
plastic (e.g. oven bag)
In order to find out whether the crock-
ery is microwaveable, you can conduct
the following test:
1. Put the empty container in the cooking
chamber.
2. Press the stop button (11) to show the
clock.
3. Press the start button (10).
The appliance will then start at full micro-
wave power for 30 seconds.
– If the dishware becomes hot or if sparks
start to form, immediately open the door
to stop the cooking process: This dish-
ware is not suitable!
– If the dishware remains cold or only luke-
warm, it may be used in the simple micro-
wave mode.
For grill and combi mode
Any materials suitable for use in a conven-
tional oven are also compatible with these
heating modes.
Size and shape
– Flat, wide containers are more suitable
than tall, narrow ones. “Flat” dishes can
cook through more evenly.
– Round or oval shaped containers are
more suitable than square or rectangu-
lar containers. There is a risk of localised
overheating in the corners!
