Checking and cleaning the door seal
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
The door seal of the refrigerator is sensitive to grease
and oil, which make it porous and brittle.
• Use only damp, clean cloths.
• Never use harsh, granular, soda, acid- or sol-
vent-based or abrasive cleaning agents or sponges.
They could damage the surfaces.
Check the door seal regularly to ensure that warm air does not
enter the refrigerator.
1. If necessary, clean the door seal with a soft, damp cloth.
2. Clamp a piece of paper between the refrigerator and the re-
frigerator door at various points to test the effectiveness of the
door seal.
The paper should be difficult to pull through at all points.
3. If the seal is not uniform everywhere: Carefully heat the seal at
the corresponding points using a hairdryer. Gently pull the seal
out with your fingers.
Changing the bulb
WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
As the refrigerator works with mains voltage, which
can be dangerous, touching live parts may lead to
serious injury or death.
• Pull the mains plug out of the socket before chang-
ing the bulb.
1. Loosen the cover screw with a cross-headed screwdriver and
remove the cover.
2. Unscrew the bulb from the holder and replace with a new one
of the same type.
3. Screw the cover back on.
4. Insert the mains plug back into the socket.
