Installation Considerations
• For best results, Hansgrohe recommends that
this unit be installed by a licensed, professional
plumber.
• Please read over these instructions thoroughly
before beginning installation. Make sure that
you have all tools and supplies needed to
complete the installation.
• Make sure that you know what kind of wall is to
be installed, so that the required stringer may be
installed at the proper location.
The bottom outlet is for use with a
diverter tub spout only. Otherwise, it
must be plugged.
Do not install a shutoff device on either
outlet of this valve as it can defeat the
ability of the valve to balance the hot
and cold water pressures.
• This mixing valve is for use with a showerhead
rated at 1.5 GPM (5.7 L/min) or higher.
• To prevent scald injury, the maximum output
temperature of the shower valve must be no
higher than 120°F (49°C). In Massachusetts,
the maximum output temperature can be no
higher than 112°F (44°C).
• Keep this booklet and the receipt (or other proof
of date and place of purchase) for this product in
a safe place. The receipt is required should it be
necessary to request warranty parts.
