OPERATIONS

For accurate measurements with
the

HYGROCHECK®

, please pro-

ceed as explained below.

• The end of the humidity sensor

should be exposed to an air
current moving at 0.5 m (20")
per second or more.

• In the absence of air movement,

the response can be acceler-
ated by moving the probe.

• The RH sensor must never

come into contact with water or
other liquids. If this should hap-
pen, or if condensation causes
drops to form on the sensor
surface, turn off the instrument
and expose it to an air current
to dry the sensor.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

To access the battery compart-
ment, slide off the cover. When
replacing the batteries, pay atten-
tion to the correct polarity and use
only the battery type specified in
these instructions.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The

HYGROCHECK

®

 is a light-

weight, pocket-sized meter de-
signed for on-the-spot testing of
Relative Humidity.

The

HYGROCHECK

®

 uses the ad-

vanced TFPC (Thin Film Polymer
Capacitance) sensing method to
measure humidity and an inte-
grated electronic circuit to per-
form all relative conversions. This
method of Relative Humidity
measurement assures a quick
and accurate reading.

The housing is constructed of
durable ABS material and the
LCD is protected behind a trans-
parent plastic cover.

Also, a vented cap protects the
sensor while allowing maximum
airflow for rapid response.
