Assembling the swivel base

and setting the chair frame on it

3

Tightening the nuts to the bolts

        □

The four metal plates (CC) must be installed in the proper

location. Read this step and carefully examine the diagrams in
            steps 2 and 3.

        □

Place a metal plate (CC) on the topside of the “U” bar (1),

aligning the holes in the metal plate (CC), with the holes in
the “U” bar (1), through the holes in the rocker plate (HH) and
then, most importantly, through another metal plate (CC)
which must be placed directly beneath the rocker plate (HH).

        □

Add a spring washer (BB) and a nut (DD) to each bolt. Hand

tighten the nuts 3-4 revolutions only.

        □

Repeat the same procedure on the other side.

Preparing the swivel base

        □

Place the swivel base (B) on a flat, solid surface.

        □

Ensure the rocker portion of the swivel base (B) is positioned

all the way into the swivel base (B). It may have shifted or
            vibrated out during shipment.

        □

Note the arrow labels on the “U” bar (1) and the rocker

assembly. Also note the horseshoe shape of the rocker plate
            (HH).

        □

Point the open end of the horseshoe away from you.

        □

The arrows on the rocker assembly shound be pointing

            towards you.

        □

Set the chair frame on the rocker assembly with the front of

the seat facing you and the arrows on the “U” bar (1)
            pointing towards you.

        □

If the chair frame has been properly positioned on the rocker

assembly, all arrows on the “U” bar and rocker assembly will
be pointing in the same direction.
