Installing Fan to
the Electrical Box
WARNING

MOUNT FAN ONLY TO AN OUTLET BOX OR
SUPPORTING SYSTEM MARKED ACCEPTABLE
FOR FAN SUPPORT AND USE THE MOUNTING
SCREWS PROVIDED WITH THE OUTLET BOX.
Pass the 120-volt supply wires through the
center hole in the ceiling mounting bracket as
shown in Figure 7.
Install the ceiling mounting bracket on the
outlet box with the screws and washers
provided with your outlet box (Figure 7).
Security tighten the two mounting screws.
Carefully lift the fan assembly up to the ceiling
mounting bracket and seat the hanger ball in the
mounting bracket socket. Make sure the tab on
the mounting bracket socket is properly seated
in the groove in the hanger ball (Figure 8). This
will help to balance the ceiling fan.

NOTE:
Your fan comes with a 10" downrod
attached to the hanger ball. In addition, a 4-1/2"
downrod has been provided to be used in case the
ceiling is lower. In this case, perform the
following steps for correct installation:
NOTE:
Do not install the decorative scroll if you
plan to use the 4-1/2" downrod.
NOTE:
Your fan comes with a 10" downrod for 9'
ceiling. A 4-1/2" downrod has been provided to be
used in case the ceiling is 8'.
Remove the hanger ball from downrod by
loosening the setscrew at the top of the
downrod which holds the hanger ball to the
downrod.
Slide the hanger ball down the downrod and
remove the support pin.
Insert the support pin in the holes at the top of
the 4-1/2" downrod and slide the hanger ball up
the 4-1/2" downrod. Make sure the support pin
is properly seated in the grooves in the top of
the hanger ball.
Tighten the setscrews firmly.
