Installing Fan to 

the Electrical Box

WARNING

TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC 

SHOCK OR OTHER PERSONAL INJURY. 

MOUNT FAN ONLY TO AN OUTLET BOX OR 

SUPPORTING SYSTEM MARKED ACCEPTABLE 

FOR FAN SUPPORT AND USE THE MOUNTING 

SCREWS PROVIDED WITH THE OUTLET BOX.

Pass the 120-volt supply wires through the 
center hole in the hanger bracket as shown in 
Figure 10.

Install the hanger bracket on the outlet box 
with the screws and washers provided with 
your outlet box. (Figure 10)  

Security tighten the two mounting screws. 
(Figure 10)

Carefully lift the fan assembly up to the hanger 
bracket and seat the hanger ball in the hanger 
bracket socket. Make sure the tab on the hanger 
bracket socket is properly seated in the groove 
in the hanger ball (Figure 11). This will help to 
balance the ceiling fan.

Slip coupling cover, canopy cover and canopy 
onto downrod. Carefully reinstall hanger ball 
onto rod being sure that cross pin is in correct 
position, set screws are tighten and wires are not 
twisted. (Figure 9)
