The light does not come on.
Problem
Ƒ
There is plastic over the solar cell.
Ƒ
The pull tab was not removed.
Ƒ
The batteries are dirty.
Ƒ
The batteries are dead.
Possible Cause
Ƒ
Make sure there is no plastic over the
solar cell.
Ƒ
Make sure that the pull tab is removed.
Ƒ
Remove batteries, wipe both ends with
a clean dry cloth, and replace batteries.
Ƒ
Test batteries by replacing with alkaline
batteries and placing the light in a dark
room. DO NOT leave the alkaline
batteries in the light. Replace with new
batteries if needed.
Solution
First time use

Replacing the battery
Ƒ
Remove the pull tab (1) in between the battery and its
connector.
Ƒ
The solar light needs to charge in full sunlight for 8 - 12
hours to allow the rechargeable battery to reach
maximum capacity. For optimum performance, allow
the battery to charge in full sunlight.
Ƒ
Carefully pull the light head (A) off of the pole (B).
Ƒ
Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw (1)
holding the battery cover in place.
Ƒ
Open the cap from the bottom of of the light head (A).
Ƒ
Remove the old battery and replace with a new Ni-Mh
AA 350 mAh rechargeable battery.
Ƒ
Close the cap.
Ƒ
Return the screw removed earlier.
Ƒ
Place the light head (A) back on the pole (B).
