LIGHTING

Lighting is one of the most important elements in an aquarium.  Lighting is a crucial factor in creating and maintaining a healthy marine environment for
your aquarium inhabitants.  Lighting is needed for aquatic plants and animals to sustain life functions.  Light is also used to display the natural beauty of
the tank and its inhabitants.  The typical coral reef receives an amount of solar radiation that was difficult, until now, to match in an aquarium, particularly in

terms of light intensity and spectrum.  It is important to follow our recommended bulb replacement schedule to maintain high spectral output of lamps over time.

Life of a Bulb

: Lamps have a rated life of several years; however their beneficial aspects decline before

the eye can detect the changes. The life and health of your marine inhabitants are
directly related to know when lamps should be replaced. To be assured of optimum high
spectral output, we recommend to change the lamps on a set schedule before seeing
the visual signs of lamp failure loss of lumens or change in color spectrum.
