CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
To properly maintain your appliance you must clean it regularly.
Before attempting any cleaning or maintenance, always unplug the appliance from the
power supply and allow it to cool sufficiently.
1. Drain the remaining water from the water tank to prevent it from leaking during
cleaning.
2. Wipe the ceramic sole plate with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
3. If polyester has burnt on to the ceramic sole-plate, wipe it with a soft cloth dipped
in methylated spirits. Clean off the methylated spirits with a soft, damp cloth and
dry thoroughly.
4. To remove build-up around the steam holes, use a cotton wool top dampened
with methylated spirits. Clean off the methylated spirits with a soft, damp cloth
and dry thoroughly.
TIP: Clean the sole-plate regularly to ensure smooth gliding on your fabrics.
STORAGE
1. Switch off the steam generator and unplug it.
2. Discard the remaining water in the tank and pour it down the sink.
3. Wind the power cord into the storage compartment and secure it with the storage
hook.
4. Fold the mains cord and fasten with Velcro strip.
5. Push the carry lock release button to lock the iron in the iron platform.
6. You can carry the appliance with one hand, by the handle, if the iron is locked
onto the iron platform.
