1. General Information
The headset switch HA-2710 enables you to connect a headset to all common corded telephones.
The HA-2710 has several adjustment switches for adjusting the headset switch to the telephone and
the headset switch to the headset. No adjustments are required between the headset switch and
the headset when using the headset provided (two 3.5mm universal jack plugs). Only the sound level
is adjusted.
Please remove empty batteries immediately!
Make sure to read about all the headset switch functions before connecting it.
Install the DECT cordless telephone at least 1 meter away to avoid electrical noise.
2. Safety Instructions
The headset switch is only intended for use in dry rooms. Only use it as described in this manual.
The headset switch HA-2710 may only be used with approved telephones! (Germany: BZT, R&TTE,
FTZ, CE, LVD Low-Voltage Directive)
Only use power packs approved by Hama!
Do not open and/or make changes to the headset switch. The headset switch does not contain any
parts that need servicing.
Remove the cable to change the battery! Never use without the battery compartment cover!
Do not use the headset switch if the cable or casing is damaged or if liquid enters the headset.
Contact Hama service for all other errors.
Please remove empty batteries immediately!

4. Inserting Batteries/Empty Batteries
To insert the batteries, first remove the cable from the headset switch.
Open the battery compartment by pressing the bracket of the battery compartment cover on the
underside towards the cover. Insert 2 alkaline “AA” batteries according to the image on the battery
compartment cover and close the battery compartment. You should hear the bracket lock into place.
Please remove empty batteries immediately! Damages resulting from expired batteries are not
covered by the warrantee. Dispose of old batteries according to regulations.
A fading LED and limited speech quality indicate weak or empty batteries. Replace the batteries.
