5.2.1 Connecting the transmitter using an optical
signal cable
Note
•
Switch off the product before connecting a terminal
device to it.
•
Remove the protective caps from both ends of the
optical signal cable before connection.
•
Do not bend or crush the cable.
•
For playback using the optical audio input, connect one
end of the optical signal cable (supplied) to the optical
audio input (15) on the transmitter, and connect the
other end to the optical audio output on your terminal
device (e.g. TV set, DVD player).
•
Then connect an optical signal cable to the optical audio
output of the transmitter (14) and the optical audio input
of the source device (e.g. soundbar, AV receiver).
5.2.2 Connecting the transmitter using AUX IN
Note
•
Switch off the product before connecting a terminal
device to it.
•
Do not bend or crush the cable.
•
For playback via the AUX connection, use an RCA cable
(supplied) to connect the AUX OUT of your picture source
(e.g. TV set, DVD player) to the AUX IN (17) of the
transmitter.
•
Then use an RCA cable to connect the transmitter’s AUX
OUT (16) to the AUX IN of the playback source (e.g.
soundbar, AC receiver).
5.2.3 Receiver
Connect the receiver to the speakers using the two-core
audio cable.
Note
•
The speaker intended for the left-hand corner of the
room is labelled SPK-L on the back.
•
The speaker intended for the right-hand corner of the
room is labelled SPK-R on the back.
Right-hand corner
•
Take the speaker intended for the right-hand corner of
the room and the audio cable coloured red and black.
•
Connect the red-sheathed audio cable to the positive
pole (red connection) of the speaker and the positive
pole (red connection) of the receiver.
•
Then connect the black-sheathed audio cable to the
negative pole (black connection) of the speaker and the
negative pole (black connection) of the receiver.
Left-hand corner
•
Take the speaker intended for the left-hand corner of the
room and the audio cable coloured grey and red.
•
Connect the red-sheathed audio cable to the positive
pole (red connection) of the speaker and the positive
pole (red connection) of the receiver.
•
Then connect the grey-sheathed audio cable to the
negative pole (grey connection) of the speaker and the
negative pole (grey connection) of the receiver.
•
Connect the receiver to a properly installed and easily
accessible mains socket via a power supply unit (12V /
1.5A).
5.3 Re-connecting the transmitter and receiver
(pairing)
Note
•
The transmitter and receiver are shipped already
paired.
If the connection between the transmitter and receiver
should be interrupted, you can repeat the pairing process.
To do so, proceed as follows:
1.
Press the [POWER] button of the remote control (1)
to turn on the transmitter and receiver.
2.
Press and hold the Surround ON/OFF / [Pairing]
button (12) on the back of the transmitter for about
3 seconds.
3.
Then press and hold the Pairing button (3) on the
back of the receiver for about 3 seconds.
4.
The pairing process is complete when the status LED
of the transmitter (10) lights up blue.
5.4 Surround mode
Briefly press the Surround ON/OFF / [Pairing] button (12)
on the back of the transmitter to switch between surround
and mono/stereo playback.
