9.1 

LCD Screen Format 

There are 3 events that can be reported and displayed by 

SmartTerminal

. The types of event are;  

  Fire 

  Faults and  

  Disables. 

The  types  of  events  are  only  associated  with  sensors  and  detectors  hence  faults  associated  with 
modules, loops O/C 

– S/C, power supplies and so forth are not reported on the LCD. 

The 

SmartTerminal

  has  front  panel  indicators  for  each  type  of  event.  When 

SmartTerminal

  is 

configured not to report a type of event and that event type is present (and the corresponding front 
panel  indicator  is  illuminated  on  the

  SmartTerminal

),  then  a  standard  information  screen  is 

displayed on the LCD stating the system is not normal and the operator should see the FACP.

In the event of a loss of communications, for a period of greater than 15 seconds the 

SmartTerminal 

will default to the No Communications screen. The format for this screen is:
