3. Temperature limiter
In case of temperature regulator failure or improper operation, it interrupts the
heating circuit before the water temperature exceeds 1
00°C.
The appliance must be reset by a technician after resolving the failure.
THE REPAIR MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY A PROFESSIONAL!
Active anode
The hot water storage tank is additionally protected against corrosion by active
anodes. The service life of the active anodes is subject to the water quality and the
operating conditions. The condition of the anode should be checked, when
maintenance is carried out at the descaling intervals, but at least once in every two
years. The technician determines the time of the next inspection. If the diameter of
the anode decreases to app. 10 mm, it must be replaced.
IF YOU FAIL TO OBSERVE THE FOREGOING, AND THIS RESULTS IN THE
DETERIORATION OF THE SAFETY AND OPERATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE
APPLIANCE, YOU WILL LOSE YOUR GUARANTEE AND WARRANTY RIGHTS.
Descaling
Depending on the quality of water, scale may deposit on the radiator and the tank.
The scale deposited increases the likelihood of radiator failure, whereby descaling is
necessary every 2.5 to 3 years. Since electrical assemblies are disconnected during
descaling, the temperature regulator, temperature limiter, radiator and electrical
connections should also be checked at the same time.
THESE CHECKS MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY A SPECIALISED SERVICE COMPANY!
Disassemble the appliance only when disconnected from the mains and drained.
When cleaning, avoid damaging the protective surface finish.
Draining
Above-sink installation
The tank can be drained through the discharge nozzle by turning the blow-off button
of the combined safety valve (item 4, Figure 3) in the direction indicated by the
arrow or lifting the lever. Before discharging water, close the closing valve of the
water network and the cold water tap, but leave the hot water tap open throughout
the time of discharging.
Under-sink installation
Mount a fitting flexible hose on the discharge nozzle of the combined safety valve,
which is long enough to reach under the tank. Next, close the closing valve (item 1,
Figure 4), open the safety valve by turning the blow-off button, and then open one
of the hot water taps and blow in it using a pump. The siphon effect will pump the
water out of the tank.
