4.4 WORKING PLATFORM
The working platform is composed of an aluminium tube frame on which two wooden panels
are mounted, with one of the two panels serving as a trapdoor for access to the platform itself.
Anti-slip boards – with a height of at least 150 mm – must be suitably fixed to all edges, to avoid
any kind of unintentional removal.
4.5 LATERAL WORKING PLATFORM GUARD RAILS
Lateral working platform guard rails include rounded horizontal rungs along the riser aluminium
columns, and the horizontal and vertical tie rods. Positioning of the guard rails must be
performed following the configuration in the figure.
4.6 SUPPORTING BRACKETS
The 4 supporting brackets are aluminium tubes. They must be mounted following the indications
of this manual. “C-shaped” brackets shall be mounted on the two upmost sections. They shall
be locked upon fixing of the brackets to the columns using screws and nuts. A suitable assembly
guarantees that contact between the bracket and the ground be always maintained, and that
loads be transmitted across the scaffolding without slipping or rotation occurring.
