Q & A

●  Be sure to disconnect the water heater from power supply before cleaning.

●  Gently wipe the exterior with a piece of wet cloth and a little neutral detergent. Do

not use gasoline or other solutions. Finally, wipe the exterior with a piece of dry

cloth and keep the water heater dry. Do not use any detergent containing

abrasive (e.g. toothpaste), acid, chemical solvent (e.g. alcohol) or polishing

agent.

To keep high-efficiency operation, please clean heating tubes and inner water tank

once every three years. At the time of cleaning, be careful not to damage the

protective coating on the exterior of heating tubes and on the surface of inner water

tank.

●  Be sure to disconnect the water heater from power supply before cleaning the

inner water tank.

●  Before cleaning, close the water inlet valve, open the water outlet valve, remove

the “shockproof wall” shell and magnesium rod (at this time, you may also check

the loss of magnesium rod for timely replacement. Note: magnesium rod must be

purchased additionally.), drain the water tank, and then open the water inlet valve

to wash the inner water tank again and again for several minutes until clean

water flows out, and finally reinstall the magnesium rod and “shockproof wall”

shell in place.

●  When the water heater is in use, check the relief valve once a month

as follows: pull the small handle of relief valve at the side of water

inlet pipe (be careful not to hurt your hands), if water flows out, it

means the relief valve is in normal operation; if no water flows out,

please contact local Haier after-sales service center; if the relief

valve is damaged, please replace it with a new relief valve of the

same specification.

●  Ask an after-sales service technician for safety inspection on a

regular basis, remove the scale of heating tubes in a timely manner

and check the loss of magnesium rod, and if necessary, replace the

magnesium rod in time.

If the water heater will not be used for a long time, please do as follows:

1.  Close the tap water pipe valve.

2.  Connect one end of drain pipe to the pressure relief vent of relief

valve and then open the handle of relief valve.

3.  Open the hot water valve fully (in the meanwhile, remove the hose

of shower head from the water outlet valve; at this time, be careful to

avoid scald by hot water) to drain the inner water tank.

To avoid personal injury, when you use the water heater again, it is

recommended to open the hot water valve before turning on the power

switch of water heater to discharge the air in the pipe; at this time,

smoking or other open flame is prohibited near the open valve. In

addition, thoroughly check whether each component of the water heater

is in good condition and confirm whether inner water tank is full of water

before using the water heater.

Press the “       (hour)” key or the “      (minute)” key, the

clock will flash.

Press the “      (hour)” key continuously to set the hour.

Press the “      (minute)” key to set the minute.

Press the “                 ”, “           ”, “                  ” or “          ” to

confirm the time setting (if no operation is made in 6s, the

time

setting will also be confirmed automatically).

Note: The time setting of water heater adopts the 24-hour

system. Please ensure correct clock setting,

otherwise the “low electricity price at night” and “delay

shower” modes will not function normally.

Press the “                   ” key, the icon      of “delay     ” mode
and the icon       of clock display will flash simultaneously, at
which time you may set the “delay      ”.

Press the “      (hour)” key continuously to set the hour.

Press the “      (minute)” key continuously to set the minute.
The setting of “delay     ” is the same as that of “delay     ”.
Note:

●  Please use the “delay shower” mode after calibrating the

clock.

●  You may set and store time respectively for “delay     ” and

“delay     ”.

Press the “                   ” key, the water heater will enter the “delay shower”

mode. In this mode, the water heater finishes heating water and keeps water

warm before the delay time you set according to the water temperature

setting.

●  In this mode, you may switch to “delay  ”, “delay  ” or “delay  ” by pressing

the “                   ” key.

●  You may set the time respectively for “delay  ” and “delay  ” by following

the instructions in the section of “setting of the delay time”.

Clock calibration

The “shower for a given number of persons” mode:

The “warm-keeping at medium temperature” mode:

The “low electricity price at night” mode:

The “delay shower” mode:

Description of operating modes

After finishing the installation of a new water heater, there is no water in its water tank, please open the tap water inlet valve and mixing valve,

adjust the mixing valve to provide the most hot water, close the water outlet valve after water flows from the shower head or water outlet

continuously (it means that the water tank is full of water) and turn on the water heater after confirming no water leakage at each joint.

The water heater allows you to choose the desired mode from the following operating modes according to your actual need: the “shower for a given

number of persons” mode, the “delay shower” mode, the “warm-keeping at medium temperature” mode and “low electricity price at night” mode.

Plug in the water heater, the display screen will light up for 2s.

Clock calibration is done when the water heater is in power-on

state.

Power-down memory

Setting of the delay time

The water heater can memorize the operating mode before

power-down.

Automatic temperature control

Being set with the function of automatic temperature control,

when the water heater heats water to the temperature

corresponding to the “shower for a given number of persons”

mode, it will enter the warm-keeping mode and the “warm-

keeping” icon will light up. In the warm-keeping mode, the water

heater will keep such a cycle that it automatically reheats water

to the set temperature and then keep water warm.

Press the “                     ” key to set the number of persons to take a shower.*

The water heater will automatically heat water for the selected number of persons to

take a shower.

* Note: The water heaters with volume of 40L, 50L and 60L can be set as “shower for

one person” or “shower for two persons”, while those with volume of 80L can be set

as “shower for one person”, “shower for two persons” or “shower for three persons”.

Press the “       (ON/OFF)” key (the water heater will enter the standby

mode or the operating mode before power failure).

Press the “             ” key, the water heater will enter the “low electricity price

at night” mode. In this mode, the water heater activates the heating or

warm-keeping function during 00:00~06:00 according to the water tempera

-

ture setting.

●  According to the electricity price system in some regions, the electricity

price during 00:00~06:00 is lower than that during other hours, so it is

easy to achieve cost saving by selecting the “low electricity price at night”.

●  In this mode, the water heater does not heat or keep warm during those

hours other than 00:00~06:00.

After the water heater starts, it can automatically select the activation of 3D heating mode by detecting water temperature in the water tank

and hot water flow. In the 3D heating mode, the water heater heats water at high power to provide more hot water.

Water temperature in the water tank ≤69

°C:

If water flow is less than 2.5L/min, the 3D heating mode will not activate; if water flow is more

than or equal to 2.5L/min, the 3D heating mode will activate.

Water temperature in the water tank ≥70

°C:

If water flow is less than 3L/min, the 3D heating mode will not activate; if water flow is more

than or equal to 3L/min, the 3D heating mode will activate.
