SEFUL TIPS
You can save energy by leaving the pot on the hob after you have switched the
heat source to off, allowing it to use the residual heat until the pressure drops.
If you notice:
Steam comes out through the side of the lid. The reason for this could be the
following:
The lid may not be fitted correctly, or the knob has not been tightened
sufficiently,
The seal is worn, in which case it will have to be replaced,
The rotating valve does not turn,
Make sure there is some water in the pressure cooker,
Check the steam pipe to see if it is dirty; if so clean it with a fine rod (Fig.1)
Do not unscrew the knob until the pot is out of the hob and the pressure has
dropped completely.
Cleaning and Maintenance
To keep your pressure cooker as good as new we recommend washing it in warm
water after each use, following the instruction set out bellow.
A. L
ID
Never put the lid in the dishwasher.
Clean the steam pipe orifice with a thin rod (Fig.!), and the safety valve by
pressing the bolt with a rod (Fig. 2).
Both these actions being completed with a small stream of water do not
dismantle the valve.
B. B
ODY
Wash in the sink or in the dishwasher as you would other cookware if it is of
stainless steel.
From time to time, depending on the food and additives used in the
cooking, as well as the lime content of the water used, bluish or white stains
might appear on the bottom, which are mineral deposits on the steel;
however, these do not affect the properties.
All these stains will disappear on rubbing with vinegar or boiling water with a
small amount of vinegar or lemon juice in the pot and rinsing the pressure
cooker thoroughly afterwards.
Never leave bleach inside (not even diluted in water) or tomato sauce or
salty water for long periods of time inside to prevent corrosion.
