push and pull the Duo

 slowly across it. As you  

 

 

push the unit across the floor, the Power-Lift Brush  

 

 

in the front of the unit will pick up loose dirt and 

 

 

particles at the same time that the STEAM Function 

 

 

is sanitizing and freshening the carpet.

4)  When finished, place the Duo

 back on the Floor  

 

 

Protector/Resting Mat. Turn it oFF; unplug the  

 

 

unit and allow it to cool down before storing it  

 

 

away. Arrange the cord along the top and bottom 

 

 

Pivoting Cord Wrap. Store the unit upright in a  

 

 

protected dry area, standing it on the Floor  

 

 

Protector Resting Mat, or by hanging it up by the  

 

 

Storage Hook (Fig 20).

 

SPOT TREATING FRESH STAINS WITH THE   

 

 

STEAM SWEEPER AND FLOOR SANITIzER:

 

1)  With the Pad Tray oFF, place the unit on the Floor  

 

 

Protector Resting Mat (‘bumpy’ side up), check to  

 

 

be sure there is  water in the tank and add water to 

 

 

the tank (if needed) as described in step 2 of the ‘To  

 

 

Refill Water Tank’ instructions on pg 11. 

Do not overfill

.

 

2)  Plug the 

HaaN

®

 Duo

 into a standard 120-volt  

 

 

grounded wall receptacle. 

 

2)  With the unit still on the Floor Protector/Resting 

 

 

Mat, press the GREY STEAM oN/oFF power button 

 

 

to turn on the steam function. The STEAM power  

 

 

indicator light on top of the unit will illuminate  

 

 

RED. Your Duo

 is heated and ready to use when 

 

 

the Thermal Indicator on the tank cap changes 

 

 

from BLACK to oRANGE (Fig 19).

 

3)  Place the unit over the stain, and hold it in place 

 

 

for a few seconds to allow the steam to penetrate 

 

 

the area of the stain.

 

4)  Place the Duo

 back on the Floor Protector Resting Mat,  

 

 

turn it oFF and wait until the unit cools down  

 

 

(approximately 5 minutes).

 

5)  Put the Pad Tray on as decribed on pgs 8-9.  

 

 

Return the Duo

 to the Floor Protector Resting  

 

 

Mat and turn the STEAM Function oN again as  

 

 

decribed above.

 

6)  once the Thermal Indicator has changed to  

 

 

oRANGE, indicating it is ready to use — place a
