If there are cracks in the device covers or other visual defects, contact HAAG-STREIT or your local
dealer.
4.1 Tools

4.2 Cleaning
WARNING!
Do NOT use the following chemicals for cleaning:
•
Mineral spirits, paint thinner, benzene, gasoline, lamp oil
•
Strong / corrosive acids (such as sulphuric acid)
•
Strong / corrosive bases (such as sodium hydroxide)
•
Bleaching agents
•
Nail polish remover
Do Not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.
WARNING!
Clean camera lens and optics ring before each use to avoid contamination.
The FUNDUS MODULE 300 is a precision optics instrument that should be handled with care. The FUNDUS
MODULE 300 is not intended to be sterilized. Ensure that no moisture penetrates the system during cleaning and
disinfection. Please note the following cleaning instructions:
•
Shut down the device before cleaning
•
Remove the cradle from mains before cleaning
•
Disinfect housing with soft cloth moistened with alcohol (e.g. 70% ethanol). Avoid touching System connectors in
the camera and the cradle.
•
Lenses may be cleaned with cleaning cloth. Also, moist-cleaning tissue can be used.
Cleaning the screen (Do not use ammonia-based cleaners on the liquid crystal display (LCD) because it may cause
damage to the display.):
•
clean the screen using a soft, clean cloth moistened with neutral cleaning agents or ethanol
•
do not use any chemical solvents, acids or alkaline solutions
4.3 Replacing the batteries
NOTE!
Ensure that the FUNDUS MODULE 300 is powered off before replacing the batteries.
Battery pack is specially designed and manufactured for this device. No other battery is allowed to be used. Optomed
and HAAG-STREIT retailers provide suitable battery packs. Label of the battery and sticker in the battery cover
displays following information:
•
Li-Ion battery
•
