Connecting a PoE adapter
IMPORTANT:
•
A PoE adapter is used only for PoE output. Before connecting a PoE adapter to the device, make
sure the device is connected to an AC power source and is operating correctly. The device
cannot operate correctly with only a PoE adapter connected to it.
•
Only the MSR3610-I-IG and MSR3610-IE-IG gateways support a PoE adapter.
To connect a PoE adapter:
1.
Insert the DC power connector at one end of the PoE adapter into the device.
2.
Connect the other end of the PoE adapter to an AC power source.

Verifying the installation
Verify the following items before you power on the device:
•
There is enough space around the device for heat dissipation.
•
The interface modules and USB devices are installed correctly.
•
The device, rack, and power source are reliably grounded.
•
The power source is as required by the device.
•
The device is connected correctly to the configuration terminal and other devices. The
configuration terminal is configured correctly and has been started.
