To remove the module:
1.
Wear an ESD wrist strap, and make sure it makes good skin contact and is reliably grounded.
2.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the captive screws on the module.
3.
Simultaneously open the ejector levers of the module to disengage the module connector from
the backplane.
4.
Use one hand to slowly move the module outwards. Supporting the bottom of the module with
the other hand, pull the module out of the slot along the slide rails.
5.
Place the removed module on an anti-static workbench or put it in an anti-static bag, with the
component side facing up.
6.
If you are not to install a new module, install a filler panel in the slot to ensure good heat
dissipation for the cards in adjacent slots and prevent
dust intrusion
