Operating manual
GYSPOT COMBI ARCPULL
Translation of the original
instructions
The different welding settings are determined for the attachment parts sold by GYS.
These synergies (pre-installed user settings) are still valid for longer attachments (≤ 45 mm) as long as they are the
same type and material as those sold by GYS.
We recommend that you do some test welding beforehand if other consumables are being used.

Coefficient power
Thickness of the support plate (value )
To increase or decrease the thickness of the sheet to which the attachment will be welded, press the D+ and D- keys.
If the sheet’s thickness is less than that displayed on the screen, there may be a mark on the back of the weld.
When the appliance displays «
», the sheet’s thickness is high enough that it will not leave a mark on the back and
the user will produce high-quality welds.
If this symbol does not appear, then the sheet metal’s maximum thickness has been reached. Beyond this thickness, it
is no longer possible to guarantee that the attachment can be welded.
Power coefficient (value
)
The power coefficient allows the user to adjust the ignition current, the arc energy (current and time) and the strike
current.
The power can be set between -10 and +10. To increase or decrease this power coefficient, press the G+ and G- keys.
Note: Welding synergies are optimised with a default power coefficient value of 0.
Power
Action taken on the product
Impact on welding
+1 point.
• Increases the ignition current.
• Increases the arc’s current by 2% up to 200 A,
then increases the arc time by 3% to 500 ms.
• Increases the start-up current.
• Better arc ignition on poorly degreased sheet
metal.
• Better ignition in cold weather conditions (<
5°C).
• Increases the arc’s energy by 2%.
-1 point
• Decreases the ignition current.
• Decreases the arc current by 2%.
• Decreases the start-up current.
• Decreased chance of sticking to the workpiece
during ignition.
• Suitable for ignition in hot weather conditions (>
35°C).
• Decreases the arc energy by 2%.
In order to modify the other synergic welding settings (materials, type, gas and attachment size), please refer to the
chapter ‘Synergic Settings’.
WELDING IN MANUAL MODE
In MANUAL mode, the timings, currents and coefficients of the different welding phases and the attachment’s lift height
are to be manually entered by the user.
