Epicondylitis

An inflammation or damage to the area of an epicondyle of bone.  An epicondyle 

is the projection of a bone above the condyle where ligaments and tendons 

are attached. The two most common types of epicondylitis are tennis elbow 

(epicondylitis lateralis) and golfer’s elbow (epicondylitis medialis).
