Anchors suitable to wall construction where Hub will be
fitted.
•
4 no. M4 screws to suit anchors.
•
Cable clips or ties (to manage cabling to other devices).
Safety
•
Mains wiring should only be carried out by a qualified
electrician.
•
Ensure suitable protective devices are fitted on the mains
supply to the Hub.
•
Ensure mains supply is switched off before installation begins.
•
Ensure all cabling and connected devices meet the
specifications stated in this installation guide.
•
Use the cable strain relief provided inside the Guru Hub.
•
Securely fix all cables between the Hub and connected
devices.
•
Include drip loops in all cables where there is risk of water
running along the cables to the Hub.
•
If using the Hub’s relays to control inductive loads, fit
appropriate back-EMF suppression devices as close as
possible to the loads. Typically these suppression devices
will be flyback diodes for DC loads and Metal Oxide Varistors
(MOVs) or similar for AC loads.
•
Follow earthing guidance for any connected devices, and
ensure that any pipework is adequately earth-bonded.
Installation of GURU
base unit
