Configuring »Dynamic Ports«
The
DVICenter DP64
provides 64
Dynamic Ports
. The ports are used to connect the
user modules and the target modules.
In the default setting, the ports 1 to 16 are preconfigured for connecting the user mod-
ules. The ports 17 to 64, however, are preconfigured for connecting the target mod-
ules. You can change the preset configuration in the
Config Panel
web application.
This paragraph describes the required steps for changing the configuration of the
Dynamic Ports
.
Connecting computers to the central module
Accessing the web application requires a network connection between a computer
and the central module.
The following table lists the default settings for the
Network A
port of the central
module:
How to establish a network connection to the central module:
1. Use a category 5e twisted pair cable to connect the network port of any computer
to the
Network A
port of the central module.
2. Turn the central module and the computer on.
3. Ensure that the IP address of the computer‘s network port belongs to the subnet
the IP address of the central module belongs to.

configuration of the
Config Panel
