Installation
The following pages describe how to install the components of the KVM matrix system.
Required accessories
One or two category 5e (or better) twisted pair cables to connect the matrix switch
to one or two local networks.
Instructions on cable runs
The modular design of the matrix switch
ControlCenter-Digital-80
makes it easy to
expand, replace or maintain its components.
When connecting the components, remember that the fan boards must be cleaned
on a regular basis (see page 8). Therefore, the boards must not be covered by cables.
To be able to easily replace the
IO
cards
, we recommend bundling the cables of a
card. Plan the cable lengths to the
IO cards
so that you can replace all cards at any
time without having to unplug the cables from the IO cards.
NOTE:
When choosing a place for the device, please ensure to comply with the
ambient temperature limit (see
on page 26) close to the device. The
ambient temperature limit must not be influenced by other devices.
