Device-specific safety instructions
• The appliance must be installed and operated in
accordance with national regulations and this manual.
• Children must not play with the appliance.
• Caution - Some parts of the product may become
very hot and cause burns.
• Special care should be taken when children and
vulnerable persons are present.
• Caution! If the connecting cable of this appliance is
damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or
its customer service or a similarly qualified person in
order to avoid hazards.
• Flammable materials should be kept at least 2m safe
distance from the heater.
• Do not use or store explosive or flammable
substances (e.g. petrol, paper, paint) in the product‘s
installation room.
• Select the mounting location of the heater so that
unintentional contact is avoided.
• Keep the heater clean.
• Protect electrical parts against moisture.
• Never immerse them in water or other liquids during
cleaning or operation to avoid electric shock.
• Never hold the appliance under running water.
• Switch off the unit and allow the unit to cool down
before carrying out assembly, conversion, cleaning or
maintenance work, or before storing or transporting
the unit.
• The heater may only be used in well-ventilated
rooms! (min. 84m³)
• The unit must not be used in recreational vehicles
such as caravans and mobile homes, in high-rise flats,
basements, bathrooms and rooms with a volume of less
than 84 m³!
• The appliance must not be operated in flats, cellars,
rooms below ground level, bathrooms and bedrooms,
vehicles such as caravans and mobile homes, boats or
in rooms where there is already a liquid gas cylinder.
• The appliance must be placed at a sufficient distance
from walls, furniture, textiles and other sources of fire
hazard, see p. 6.
• Always point the heater towards the centre of the
room.
• Do not move the unit when it is in operation.
• In closed work rooms, the heater may only be used
in accordance with the occupational health and safety
regulations (Workplace Ordinance).
• The minimum distance to other heat sources must be
at least 1 m.
• When installing the heater, keep a distance of at least
1 m to the side and at least 2 m to the front.
• Do not use the appliance in the immediate vicinity of
bathtubs, showers, washbasins or swimming pools.
• Use this appliance only on the floor.
• Only use the unit in an upright position.
• The heater must be installed with a view to
preventing fire hazards.
• Do not cover the heater with textiles or other parts.
• WARNING! To prevent the heater from overheating,
do not cover the heater.
• Do not touch the protective grille and the front of the
housing during operation - risk of burns!
• The grilles for hot air outlet and air inlet of the
appliance must not be blocked.
• Never direct the airflow from the appliance at
furniture, curtains or flammable materials.
• The appliance must not be used as a heating source
in inhabited rooms.
• Never operate the appliance unattended, it could
become a source of danger.
• Do not use the appliance for drying textiles.
Behaviour in an emergency
Take first aid measures appropriate to the injury and
call for qualified medical help as soon as possible.
Protect the injured person from further damage and
immobilise him or her.
A first aid kit according to DIN 13164 should always be
available at the workplace in case of an accident. Any
material taken from the first-aid kit must be refilled
immediately.
When requesting help, give the following information:
1. place of the accident
2. nature of the accident
3. number of injured persons
4. nature of the injuries
Intended use
• The gas heater may only be used outdoors or in
well-ventilated rooms. This product is only suitable for
occasional use and must not be used as a main heater.
• With the enclosed pressure regulator, operation is
only permitted in private, weather-protected outdoor
areas.
• For well-ventilated indoor areas, a 2-stage pressure
regulator with thermally triggered shut-off valve and
pressure gauge (Art.no.: 85083) must be used.
• A room size of at least 84 m3 and a ventilation
cross-section of at least 100 cm2 each for ventilating
and deventilating the room must be fulfilled. These
ventilation openings are to be created (recommended
approx. 10-30 cm) below the room ceiling and
(recommended approx. 10-30 cm) above the floor.
• The unit must not be used in recreational vehicles
such as caravans and mobile homes, in high-rise flats,
basements, bathrooms and rooms with a volume of less
than 84 m³!
