Daily inspection of the insulation monitor
The MMI is not supplied with voltage by the generator
(External power supply)

Switch on the voltage supply for the MMI.
The green LED 1 then lights up.

Start the drive unit.

The

MAPLA system is ready for use as soon as the drive unit runs at the
required speed and drives the generator.

Check the insulation monitor.

Daily inspection of the insulation monitor
Check the correct function of the insulation monitor every day before
starting work.
>
Press the check button for the insulation monitor on the left side of the
MMI.
If the insulation monitor is working correctly, LED 4+5+6 flashes at the same time
when the check button is pressed.
>
Release the check button.
Clear the LED.
Important.
If the LEDs do not flash together, this means the insulation monitor is faulty.

Switch off the

MAPLA system immediately.

Continue with setting the operating mode.
Warning
Risk of accident

If there is not a PE/PA connection between controller and
magnetic housing, the reliable detection of external ISO faults
in the lifting magnet is not assured.
►
For this reason, when deploying an insulation monitor,
the electrical potential connection of the magnet to the
controller must be assured.
