GETTING STARTED
Selecting the video output socket (EURO AV/RGB or
S-Video)
The video output of your DVD player has been set at the factory to »RGB«.
If you connect your DVD player using a Y/C cable (»
S-VIDEO OUT

on the DVD player) to the television, you will need to set »S-Video« as the video
output for the video signal to be relayed to the television.

Selecting the screen format of your television set
This setting depends on your television or flat screen, and on the information on
the DVD.
If you have a 4:3 format television or flat screen, the following settings are
available:
4:3 PS (Pan&Scan) for wide-screen playback, where the left and right edges
of the picture are cropped off (depending on the DVD in use). The device is set
to 4:3 PS at the factory.
or
4:3 LB (Letterbox) for wide-screen playback with black bars at the top and
bottom edges of the television screen.
If you have a 16:9 format television or flat screen, select the 16:9 setting.
