PODCASTS

The Kitchen Radio can play thousands of
podcasts from around the world through a broad-
band Internet connection.
When you select Podcast mode, the device
connects the Podcast portal to get a list of avail-
able podcasts. Once you select a podcast, the
device connects directly to that podcast source.
The podcast menu is provided from the Podcast
portal, so it is only accessible when the device is
connected to the Internet. Podcast lists and sub-
menus may change from time to time.
The device’s search menu provides the fol-
lowing search options to search the available
Podcasts.

Starting­the­Podcasts
1 In “now playing” screen, short press the »
/­ MODE « or » MODE « button on device or
remote control to open the mode menu.
- Display: » Mode­select­menu «.
2 Select Podcast mode icon by short pressing the
» « / » « or » « / » « button on device or
remote control or rotating the »
OK « knob, and
then short press the » OK « button to enter the
mode.

3 Long press the » INFO/MENU « button on de-
vice or short press » MENU « button on remote
control to open the Menu system.
4 In menu, select < Main­ menu > choose <
Podcast­
> by short pressing the » « / »
« button on device or remote control or rotates
the »

« knob, and then short press the »

/ » « knob to enter Podcasts.
- Display: Podcasts < Please­wait­Loading /

- After loading is completed, the podcasts menu
will appear.
- Display: < Podcasts­ menu > and < Sub-
menu
> list. (submenus will appear if avail-
able and may change depending on the rel-
evant search category.)
5 Select the desired Podcast from the Podcast list.
Search­options­in­detail:
Location­(e.g.­UK)
- Selecting < Location > will present a submenu
to search for stations using a variety of catego-
ries such as, Comedy of the week, Books and
Authors, Popular, etc.
- Choose the required category and either a fur-
ther list of subcategories is shown or (if there
are no further subcategories) the available
podcasts for the chosen category are listed.
Search
- You can also search through podcasts with par-
ticular keywords in their title.
- Select < Search > in menu, then enter a key-
word by selecting characters in turn and con-
firm the keyword with »
«. The search entry
screens are similar in operation to the Wi-Fi
password entry screen.
Countries
- To select a podcast from a particular country,
select < Countries > and a continent list will
appear. Select a continent and a list of avail-
able countries will appear. Select the desired
country and a list of available podcasts will ap-
pear.
Popular
- Selecting < Popular > will display a list of the
most popular podcasts from around the world.
Discover
- Selecting < Discover > in menu, will allow
you to select from a list of podcasts defined by
either their origin (Country), Genre (style of mu-
sic) or language. Select the desired category.
