Scanning a barcode for a new dictation
The Digta Scan must be connected to the portable dicta-
tion machine, enabled and configured for the barcodes
you are using.
• Switch on the dictation machine.
• Push the slide switch to »
STOP
«.
• Press the »
new
« button.
– » « and » « appear in the display.
• If you do not want to scan a barcode into the dictation
accompanying note, press the »» « button and con-
tinue with your dictation as usual.
• If you want to scan a barcode, point the barcode reader
at the barcode as pictured and press the » « button.
– The device now scans the code with a red laser
beam. The machine acknowledges the successful
reading of the code with a single signal tone, and the
laser beam shuts off.
– The scanned barcode appears in the display.
• If you want to include the barcode as displayed in the
dictation, press the » « button.
• If you do not want to include the barcode in the dicta
-
tion, press the » « button and continue with your dic-
tation as usual.
