1. Putting into operation

Inserting batteries

Insert 2 AAA (LR03) alcaline batteries into
the battery compartment of the dictation
machine.
– The current settings are shown in the

display.

Battery display

The battery symbol in the display shows the
remaining battery capacity in six levels:
»

«, »

«, »

«, »

« – the battery

capacity reducing from 100% to 10%.
»

«, the batteries are nearly empty, this 

is indicated by two signal tones. Playback and
recording are ended automatically, the func-
tions can only be selected for a short time.
The battery symbol »

« flashes, the 

batteries are empty, this is indicated by
three signal tones.
Playback and recording are ended automa-
tically, the functions cannot be selected.
The batteries must be replaced.

2. Safety lock »HOLD«

As long as the safety lock is activated, all
buttons are locked.
– In the display flashes »

HOLd

« (2 to 3 times)

each time a button is pressed.

To unlock all buttons, slide the »HOLD« 
button against the direction of the arrow.
