Alignment Process
With control R654 set the voltage to 114V (14" Orion),
105V (14" Philips).
With control R60014 set the voltage to 105V (14" Philips)
With control R60414 set the voltage to 124V (20" SAM).
Adjust 300mV
pp
with button
Ǹ
or
Ƿ
.
Alternatively, without using a oscilloscope or RF
millivoltmeter, adjust the picture with button
Ǹ
or
Ƿ
so
that noise just appears on the screen. Then reset until the
picture is again free of noise.
Terminate with "
Ǻ
".
With filter F130 set the DC level to 2.5V.
With trimmer C136 set the DC level to 2.5V.
Repeat mutual adjustments!
Set the controls VG (R751) and VB (R771) on the CRT
panel so that no discolouration is visible in the grey scale.
With the control U
G2
(Splitt Transformer) adjust the black level at
the test point with the highest black level to approx. 110V…115V
for 14" picture tubes and 145V…155V for 15…21" picture tubes.
Black level
110V…115V 14"
145V…155V 15"…21"
With the focus control U
F
on the picture tube panel adjust
the vertical lines about 5cm from the right and left picture
edge for minimum horizontal width.
The sharpness in the middle must not seem to be worse than
the sharpness at the edges. If necessary, take an average.
Use L533 to adjust the line width according to the test
pattern.
Use R166 to adjust the picture to its horizontal centre
position.
Use R411 to adjust the picture amplitude according to the
test pattern.
Use R408 to adjust the test pattern to uniform picture
linearity.
Use R413 to adjust the picture to its vertical centre position.
Alignment
All adjustment controls not mentioned in this description are adjusted during production and must not be re-adjusted in the case of repairs.

the darkest grey scale value to black is just still visible.
Feed in a grey scale test pattern.
Adjust the screen brightness so that the gradation from the
darkest grey scale value to black is just still visible
(2.7V to IC150-(17)).
Set the contrast to minimum.
Connect an oscilloscope to test points R, G, B (on the CRT
panel) to determine the one with the highest black level.
Select the convergence test pattern.
