ARC: Audio return channel, transmits
sound from the TV via an HDMI connec-
tion.

AV: Audio/video.

CAM: Module for receiving scrambled
TV channels.

CI: Slot for modules for receiving scram-
bled TV channels.

HbbTV: It is standard for information and
services provided through TV signals and
over the Internet, and it is an additional
service provided by some broadcast sta-
tions.

HD: Collective term for high-resolution
audio/video data, usually 720, 1080 or
2160 lines.

HDMI: Connection for high-resolution
digital audio/video data.

LAN: local area network.

VESA: Organization that has developed
a standard for mounting the screens.
