OPERATION________________________________
Preparation

Remove all packaging material, stickers and
protective foil. Dispose of them according to the
applicable statutory regulations.

Clean the outer parts of the appliance as
described in the “Cleaning and care” section.

Place the iron upright on its heel rest
J
on a heat-
resistant, even, stable, dry, non-slip surface.
Caution
When ironing for the first time, use an old, clean
cloth so that any manufacturing residues or odours
are removed. Turn the iron up high so you can use
the steam function as this will also help to flush out
any impurities.
Do not fill the iron with vinegar, descaling agents,
starch, perfume or ironing aids.
While you are adjusting clothes on your ironing
board, rest the iron on the heel rest
J
or position
it safely in your ironing board’s cradle.

Turn the temperature control dial
K
to the
correct setting for the fabric you are ironing
(see Table 1). The temperature indicator light

illuminates to show the iron is heating. Place the
iron on its heel rest
J
while you wait for it to
heat up.
Caution
Always read the care label on your garment before
setting the temperature.

Set the steam control switch
E
to your desired
setting (see Table 2). There are two steam levels:
low steam
high steam
Caution
For the steam function to work, you must set the
temperature control dial
K
between ●● and
MAX
.
Do not use the steam function at a low temperature
setting or when dry ironing.

The blue temperature indicator light
B
appears
while the iron is heating up. When the iron reaches
the set temperature, the temperature indicator light
turns off and your iron is ready to use. While you
are ironing, this light will turn on and off to indicate
that the set temperature is being regulated.
