Original safety instructions
These safety instructions give a quick overview of the
safety precautions to be taken in connection with any
work on this product. Observe these safety
instructions during handling, installation, operation,
maintenance, service and repair of this product.
These safety instructions are a supplementary
document, and all safety instructions will appear
again in the relevant sections of the installation and
operating instructions. Keep these safety instructions
at the installation site for future reference.
Read this document and the online version
of the installation and operating instruc-
tions before you install the product. Instal-
lation and operation must comply with lo-
cal regulations and accepted codes of
good practice.
This appliance can be used by children
aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given super-
vision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not
be made by children without supervision.
Installation

Before starting any work on the IO 101,
make sure that the electricity supply
has been disconnected and that it can-
not be accidentally connected.
Electrical connection
The electrical connection should be carried out by an
authorized electrician in accordance with local
regulations.

Never make any connections in the IO
101 unless the electricity supply has
been disconnected. The IO 101 must
be connected in accordance with the
rules and standards in force for the ap-
plication in question.

The IO 101 must be earthed.
The supply voltage and frequency are marked on the
nameplate. Make sure that the IO 101 is suitable for
the electricity supply on which it will be used.
Disposing of the product
This product or parts of it must be disposed of in an
environmentally sound way.
1. Use the public or private waste collection service.
2. If this is not possible, contact the nearest
Grundfos company or service workshop.
