CHANGING THE BLADES
BEFORE COMMENCING TO CHANGE THE
CUTTER BLADE SWITCH THE ENGINE OFF.
Undo the cutter blade mounting bolts:
Tilt the machine forward to rest the chassis nose on the
ground. Using the tee wrench provided remove the
three nuts and heavy washers ’A’ to release the blade
from the mounting pad.
Remove the cutter blade
Allow the blade mounting bolts to slip forward into the
mounting pad to enable the blade to slide downwards
for removal .
Refitting the cutter blade:
When refitting the blade ensure that the two long bolts
are inserted in the bottom mounting holes on the
mounting pad and the shorter bolt is in the top centre
hole. Ensure that the heavy washers are refitted and
tighten the blade mounting nuts firmly.

OPERATING THE MACHINE IN WORK
Follow the instructions to set the cutter depth and en
gage the blade cutter drive. Ensure that the ground
wheel drive is also engaged. Start the engine and grasp
ing the throttle lever pull upward to engage the main
drive. Apply a gentle downward pressure to the opera
tors handles to enter the cutter blade in the ground then
relax the handles and allow the machine to do the work.
To exit the cut, tilt the machine forward while the drive
is still engaged until the cutter blade clears the ground.
