Generator running instructions – important information
for the operation of LED lights & heating system
The generator charges the 12V battery, allowing the LED lighting and diesel powered heating system and
inverter powered electrical sockets to be operational without the need for the generator to be running.

To power the

water system, the
generator needs to
be running.
The hot water boiler will take roughly
15 minutes
to reach temperature and will
remain warm for approximately
2-3 hours

Groundhog recommends that the
generator is left to run for its
full cycle
(approximately 3 hours)
at least twice a week,
depending
on use.
This will ensure the
on-board batteries are kept
charged and in good condition.
NOTE:
If the unit is used with additional 12V appliance, the generator may need to be run for longer periods.
* The generator is needed to heat the water. When it reaches its temperature then the generator does not need to run.
