Now hold the hose of the pump to be calibrated into the measuring cup.

After the pump time has finished measure the pumped liquid quantity and set the determined quantity by pressing the
arrow key

The initial calibration should be done after at least 1 week in operation and should be done again after this time..
Experience has shown that during this period, the pump power changes. Then the pump power remains largely stable.
For new dosing pumps, additional modules rsp. pump
heads please note: after initial calibration should be done a
recalibration every 4 – 6 weeks, as during this operating period, the hoses and rollers run in and the dosing quantity
may change. Thereafter, the dosing rate remains generally stable.
The dosing quantity can also vary over time as a functon of wear and pollution of the pump heads.
Regular cleaning of the pump heads and motor shafts are indispensable. See Attendance/Maintenance.
Reset to supply condition / deletion of the complete programme

and plugging in of the mains supply at the same time, all set values,
except the time setting are deleted, afterwards the connected devices will be indicated (EP, AUX or
NONE for no device) and all connected pumps will be switched on shortly one after the other.
Finding out the software-status

Connection of extension modules:
Please unplug mains supply of the basic device.
Please cut free with a sharp knife the gap for the connection plug at the marked position at the rear side
of the device.
Connect the extension module with the attached connection cable with the basic device. The extension
modules EP II and EP IV can be operated at both plug positions, other additional devices only at plug
position 4-7.
Please reconnect the basic device to the mains supply (Plug in mains supply) by using the provided
AC/DC-adapter.
The basic device now recognises whether it is an EP additional device or another additional device of
Messrs. GroTech and releases the part of programme to be used.
Special case: Please connect to plug position 5-8
If an additional device is connected to plug position 5-8, the display indicates

If a different extension module has been connected to this plug position, the values will be set to
0000 in the programme in order to avoid faulty dosings.
The programming of the EP-devices should otherwise be done as described above.
For programming of other additional devices of Messrs. GroTech, please see the
operating manual of the corresponding devices !
How to put the TEC 4 NG into operation:
1.
Please place the TEC 4 NG close to the aquarium, below the top most water level. In order to avoid uncontrolled running
of liquids into the aquarium (in case of defect rubber hoses) that is good practice.
2.
It is possible to change the direction of each of the pump heads to 90°, 180° or 270° (up, lateral and below). Therefore
please press the two clips, which are positioned left and right beneath the rubber hose outlets, pull off the pump head, turn
the pump head into the desired position and fix onto the driving shaft. Pump head is correctly installed after you heard
„click“.
3.
Please connect rubber hose (rubber hose for air 4/6 millimetre) with the inlets and outlets of each pump via provided
connectors (inside of the box). Left rubber hose is pressure side and right rubber hose is suction side (to be seen if the
outlets are in below position).
