Chain Saw
Terminology
Refer to the following descriptions and illustrations
to better understand the chain saw terminology
used in this manual.
Chain Component Identification: The cutter
links illustrated in
Figure 14 do the actual cutting,
while the lower tangs of the drive links keep the
chain riding in the guide bar.
The plain ties connect the links together as they
move and pivot on the rivets.
