using sander
always test the sander on a scrap piece
of material similar to the workpiece. trial
and error is the best way to determine the
ideal setup.
to use the sander:
1. Make sure the workpiece is securely
held in a vise or a similar device that
will ensure the workpiece does not
unexpectedly move during operation.
2. attach the sander to an air supply set at
at no more than 90 psi.
3. hold the sander securely, turn it ON
by depressing the trigger, then ease
the sanding disc against the workpiece
with a light, but steady, pressure.
note:
The pressure applied to the trig-
ger varies the sander speed.
4. to turn the sander OFF, release the
trigger.
note:
To avoid accidental start up,
disconnect the sander from the air
supply when it is not in use. Replace
the protective cap into the air inlet port
to keep dust or debris out of internal
components.
daily maintenance
the sander Must have 4-5 drops of
pneumatic tool oil dropped directly into
the air inlet port before and after each
use. in addition, add oil after 1–2 hours
of continuous use or install an in-line
filter, lubricator, and regulator, as shown
in
figure 3.
these procedures should be done after
each use:
•
Wipe the sander housing with a dry
cloth, or blow off the dust and debris
with compressed air.
•
Check for damage to the backing plate,
sanding disc, hoses, housing, or other
accessories.
