SECTION 6: MAINTENANCE
Lubrication
Cleaning the Model G0458Z is relatively easy.
Vacuum excess sawdust, and wipe off the remain-
ing dust with a dry cloth.
Cleaning
Schedule
The feed belt bushings should be lubricated
daily with ISO 32 (Model T26685) Multi-Function
Machine Oil. The bearings do not need lubrica-
tion.
Avoid using excess lubrication. Too much lubricant
attracts sawdust and will clog the belt bushings.
To reduce risk of shock or
accidental startup, always
disconnect machine from
power before adjustments,
maintenance, or service.
Ongoing:
To maintain a low risk of injury and proper
machine operation, if you ever observe any of the
items below, shut down the machine immediately
and fix the problem before continuing operations:
•
Loose mounting bolts.
•
Damaged sanding belt.
•
Worn switch.
•
Worn or damaged cords or plugs.
•
Damaged V-belts.
•
Any other unsafe condition.
•
Oil the feed belt roller and drive bushings.
•
Clean/vacuum dust buildup from inside cabi-
net and off of the motor.

Oil the drive bushings on each end of the feed
belt rollers and remove the belt access cover to
access the drive bushings (see
Figure 30).
