Break-back
The arm is equipped with ‘break-back’ in both directions. If the mounted tool or arm
collides with a tree or any other fixed obstacle, cylinder 1 of the arm will allow the arm to
move backwards or forwards (if in reverse gear), read more in
Controlling the
functionality of the break-back
.
Break-
back only works until the bottom stop reach of the arm’s
movement is reached - If you do not withdraw hereafter, the arm will
bend and/or possibly crack.
The break-back can also be triggered when the tool is overloaded (the forward speed is
too high in proportion to the amount of grass that is mowed), pressed too hard against
the ground or when working uphill.
If the arm is pushed backwards when something is hit, the driver himself must turn the
arm into the correct position again by activating the wheel on the joystick.
Description of the hydraulic system
The hydraulic system is a closed system, with tank, filters, pump, valves, hoses and
cooler.

to see the precise pressure, oil volume and flow that applies to your
machine.
For an overview of the construction of the entire hydraulic system, see the following:

The boom mower is controlled by 5 cylinders, which are operated via the joystick from
the cabin of the vehicle. See
below for the operational functions of the cylinders.

UNCTION OF CYLINDER
Cylinder 1
Rotating arm
Cylinder 2
Raising/lowering
Cylinder 3 and 4
(parallel motion)
The cylinders lead the tool in a parallel motion away from
the vehicle and inward towards the vehicle
Cylinder 3 (hybrid)
Cylinder 2 is out of order, now cylinder 3 functions as the
raising/lowering cylinder
Cylinder 4 (hybrid)
Leads the tool away from the vehicle and inward towards
the vehicle, but not in a parallel motion
Cylinder 5
Tilting the head - or vertical motion (extra equipment)
