Do not use spare parts on this machine other than those recommended by us, as its use could cause serious
damage to the user, the machine and people, animals and things near to the machine.
•
Before starting the machine, make sure that the moving parts of the machine are not in contact with any object.
•
Place the machine on a flat and levelled surface to start it.
STARTING A COLD ENGINE
1. Move the choke lever to the cold start position.
2. Turn the switch to the “I” (start) position.
3. Tighten the primer several times (7 - 10 times) until the fuel reaches the carburettor.
4. Pull the starter cord until you hear an engine explosion or the engine start.
5. Move the choke lever to the position (normal working position).
6. If the engine only made an explosion and did not start, pull the starter cord again until the engine starts.
Allow the engine to warm up for one minute before you start working with the machine.
STARTING A WARM ENGINE
1. Move the switch to the “I” (start) position.
2. Move the throttle lever to the position.
3. Pull the starter cord until the engine starts.
If the machine does not start after a few attempts, follow the cold engine start-up steps.
STOPPING THE ENGINE
1. Release the throttle trigger and let the engine idle for a few seconds.
2. Stop the engine by moving the switch to the “O” (stop) position.
CHECKING POINTS AFTER START-UP
It is important to pay attention to possible loose parts and to the machine temperature. If you detect any machine
malfunction, stop immediately and check it carefully. In the event of any malfunction or problem take the machine to
a Technical Service for repair.
NEVER continue using the machine if it does not seem to work properly. Do not use the machine if it is damaged or
incorrectly adjusted.
CHECKING THE CLUTCH
After starting the machine, the cutting device should not move if the engine is idling. If the head rotates at idle, it will be
necessary to adjust the engine idle, for this, turn the carburettor screw “T” until the head stops.
If the engine stalls before the cutting tool stops, take your machine to a Technical Service for adjustment. The adjustment
of the “H” and “L” screws must be carried out by an Authorised Service Centre only.
USE OF THE MACHINE
HOLDING THE MACHINE AND GUIDING
Hold the machine with both your hands on the handlebar with your right hand placed so that you can act on the
controls (accelerator and safety switch).
ATTENTION:
Never use this machine with one hand only! This will reduce the risk of loss of control
and possible harm (even fatal) to the user or to nearby persons.
