HEDGE TRIMMER MAINTENANCE
Your tool should be stationary, disconnected and greased occasionally during use.
1. The cutting blades are made of high quality steel, hard and with normal use, they will not require regrinding.
However, if you accidentally hit a wire fence, stones, glass, or other hard objects, you can nick the blade.
There is no need to remove this nick as long as it does not interfere with the movement of the blade. If it
interferes, unplug the unit and use a fine toothed file or grinding stone to remove the notch.
2. If you drop the tool, inspect it carefully for damage. If the blade is bent, the housing is cracked, or the
handles are broken, or if you see any other condition that may affect the cutter’s operation, contact an
authorized service center for repairs before restarting.
3. Fertilizers and other garden chemicals contain agents that greatly accelerate metal corrosion. Do not store
the tool on or next to fertilizers or other chemicals.
4. To clean the tool, and always with the unit switched off, use only mild soap and a damp cloth. Never allow
any liquid to enter the tool, and never immerse any part of the tool in any liquid.
LUBRICATION OF THE BLADES
For easier handling and longer blade life, lubricate before and after each use. Apply light machine oil along the edge
of the blade bar.
