PRUNER
•
Never use the pruner at an angle of more than 60° to reduce the risk of being caught by the elements that fall
during handling.
•
Hold the mower firmly with both hands when it is in operation.
HARNESS
1. Attach the harness hook to the outer tube.
2. Wear the sling so that the hook hangs towards your right hand.
3. Adjust the length of the sling so that you can comfortably hold and operate the machine.
4. In case of emergency, pull the white tab of the coupler firmly. The machine will release from the harness.
USING THE MACHINE WITHOUT THE TOP TUBE
If the bottom tube is long enough, you can use it without the top tube depending on the working conditions.
COMMON OPERATIONS
•
Standard cut:
The best posture is to place the appliance at a 60° angle, but another angle can be used to suit
your needs.
•
Cut above the obstacles:
Thanks to the long range of the pruning shear, it is possible to prune branches over
obstacles such as rivers or lakes. The angle to be formed in this case depends on the position of the branch.
•
Cutting on a working platform:
The long reach of the mower allows cutting close to the trunk without the
risk of the working platform damaging the other branches. In this case, the angle depends on the position of
the branch.
WORKING TECHNIQUES
•
Relaxation cut:
To prevent tree bark detachment, recoil tension, or sword pressure when cutting thick branches,
first make a strain cut at the bottom of the branch. To make this cut, place the attachment by pushing it towards
the bottom of the branch until it reaches the tip of the sword. Make the cross cut.
•
Flush cut of thick branches:
If the diameter of the branch is greater than 10 cm, cut first at the bottom and
make a cross-section at a distance of about 25 cm from the final cut. Then make the cut flush, starting with a
strain cut and ending with the cross cut.
HEDGE CUTTERS
JUSTING THE HINGED HEDGE TRIMMER’S CUTTING TOOL
Place the hedge trimmer on a flat surface with the engine supported on the fuel tank cover. Make sure the protective
case of the blade is in place.
1. With your right hand, hold the handle immediately after the hand guard. With your left hand, grasp the
adjustment lever on the cutting tool. The safety catch causes a lock that prevents the release of the catch.
2. With the index finger of your left hand, press the lock release. With your left thumb, press the retaining clip.
3. While holding the retaining clip, turn the cutting tool using the adjusting lever until it is aligned with the
outer tube (turn 180°).
4. Release the locking catch and release the lock. Make sure that the retaining latch and latch release return
to the closed position.
5. Remove the case from the blades. Now you can start the engine.
ATTENTION:
Do not touch the blades when the engine is running. The blades can move even when
the engine is idling.
