Note:
The PowerBreaker Safety In-line Portable RCD
has been designed for storage and use
between -5°C and +40°C at an altitude no
greater than 2000m above sea level. Care
must be taken not to subject your
PowerBreaker to abnormal pollution by smoke
chemical or flammable fumes, salt laden
spray, prolonged periods of high humidity,
immersion, repeated dropping, or any other
abnormal conditions.
IMPORTANT
After installing the leads to the terminals apply
RTV over three terminals and any exposed
conductors covering all bare metal and PVC
insulated inner wires (Brown,Blue,
Green/Yellow). Apply RTV silicon rubber
sealant over the INPUT terminals by squeezing
the tube of RTV over the wiring compartment.
The coating thickness should be at least 3mm.
Use the entire contents of the tube then
discard the empty tube.
Repeat the RTV application using 2nd tube
tube of RTV for the OUTPUT terminals.
Only use supplied and approved RTV
The strain relief cover should be installed
immediately without waiting for the RTV to
cure. The cure time at room temperature is
approximately 24 hours. The PRCD may be
used as soon as the strain relief cover is
secured.
CAUTION:
RTV irritates eyes, RTV may irritate
nose, throat and respiratory tract. RTV may
cause allergic skin sensitivity. Avoid contact
with RTV. Avoid prolonged breathing of RTV
vapours. Avoid prolonged or repeated skin
contact with RTV, wipe off RTV and if RTV
comes in contact with the eye, flush with
water immediately. During use of RTV
Methanol is released. Keep RTV out of use of
children.
- Perform the following step for both INPUT
line and OUTPUT load sides of the unit.
Locate the strain relief cover over the two
screw posts and insert both screws. While
alternating between the strain relief screws
gradually tighten the strain relief while
holding the outer jacket of the wire fully
into the unit until it is held securely.
